Why you Might Consider Switching to Thieves Household Cleaner

Thieves Household Cleaner mixed with Olive Oil and a couple drops of Lemon EO for wood cleaner.

With the start of 2018, I thought it would only be appropriate to share this information since I know that a lot of people set goals and strive to be healthier each new year. With all the options out there, it can be pretty overwhelming trying to figure out what is actually good and real and what isn’t.

I have used so many different cleaning products for different things and areas of my house – a cleaner for the kitchen countertops, the stainless steel appliances, the sink, the stove, oven and microwave, the wood cabinets and tables, hard wood floors, tile, glass and mirrors. The list goes on. Who really wants to have a cabinet full of so many bottles, wipes, sprays, buckets, tubs, mops, rags, etc.? Not to mention, when I would clean or have the house cleaned, I always had a headache, was super congested with watery itchy eyes and constantly sneezing. I knew something wasn’t right but didn’t realize that it was the stuff I thought was helping me and my family.

I think we have all used the big name brand cleaners because that is what we grew up with and are used to. We see them advertised in magazines, online and on TV. They are easily accessible at most stores within driving distance from our homes. Our parents and grandparents used them so what’s the big deal? Not only do these products take up precious space but they are super toxic.

Aren’t sleeping well? Did you know the endocrine disrupting chemicals in cleaning products and laundry products play a part in that? Synthetic fragrances may be the most common type of chemicals in homes. Air fresheners, plug-in type deodorizers, and scented candles can emit hundreds of harmful chemicals known to be carcinogenic, respiratory and endocrine disruptors, and reproductive toxicants, even at low risk. These may not affect us right away but they will affect us in the long run.

Thankfully there is an alternative to all these crazy chemicals. This alternative is Thieves Household Cleaner. Thieves was formulated by Gary Young, the founder of Young Living. I got involved with Young Living for several reasons but when I found out that there was more to the line than essential oils I was excited.

THC 64oz and 14.4oz bottles

Thieves Household Cleaner (THC) is an all-in-one purpose cleaner (yes you heard that right) that is completely natural, safe and very effective. With ingredients like:

– Vegetable-based surfactants like alkyl polyglucoside that are compliant with Green Seal and EPA Design for Environment (DFE Standards)

– Biodegradable cutting agents like sodium methyl 2-sulfolaurate and disodium 2-sulfolauarate from renewable sources

– 100% Therapeutic Grade Essential Clove and Lemon Oils from Young Living

THC cleans everything, literally. I use it for my kitchen countertops (yes, granite safe), stainless steel appliances, stove top, inside of oven and microwave, sink, vanities, glass doors and windows, mirrors, dining room table (real wood), faux wood fixtures, bathtubs, showers, tile floor, hard wood floors, baby toys, dog bowls, stains out of the carpet and more! This is seriously the best stuff ever and so easy to buy. One click online and its delivered to your front door. No running out to the store or ordering multiple cleaning products online anymore.

Thieves Household Cleaner alone is more economical than most natural cleaners on the market. With a 64oz. bottle, you can make roughly 128 bottles of cleaner in 30oz. bottles for about 88 cents a bottle. What?!

All you have to do is take 1 capful of THC, pour it into a spray bottle and fill the rest with water. Simple.

Homemade Kitchen Cleaner: 1 capful THC and the rest filled with water. Give a little shake before use and spray.

As a new mom, I wanted to make sure what I was putting in the air, on surfaces where I prepare food, and everything we touch was safe. Having a truly non-toxic and chemical free home is a process and lifestyle change, one I am still working towards today. We use a lot of the Thieves products and love them! I can say I no longer have candles in my home, no store bought air fresheners, and no store bought cleaning products. At first, I went ALL IN and it was tough. I struggled and didn’t like the results so I bought “natural” cleaners from the store (big name brands) and still knew they weren’t truly good. Companies don’t have to list everything and technically they aren’y lying if they do use at least one natural ingredient even if the rest aren’t very good.

THC, homemade Kitchen Cleaner and Homemade Bathroom Cleaner.

Finally I ditched all the big name brands and went completely hazard free. I don’t have to worry about my little babe getting into it and calling poison control. It’s safe for my family, my home and my pets. The entire Thieves line has changed our house for the better and I am so thankful someone shared this great company with me years ago. Now it’s my turn to share how great it is with you!
